CHEER COACH PART-TIME (1 evening per week)
ACTIVSTARS is seeking an enthusiastic Cheer Coach who is excited to work with young athletes and bring their cheer experience back into action.
Ideal Candidate:
Has previous cheerleading and/or coaching experience
Enjoys working with children ages 415
Is positive, energetic, and can serve as a strong role model
Is at least 18 years old
Has reliable transportation
Position Details:
Part-time, one consistent evening per week (for example: every Tuesday evening)
Coach three age groups (teams) in cheer basics, cheer dance, and pom routines
Participate in three to four paid weekend events per semester (dates provided in advance)
Responsibilities include:
Preparing lesson plans and running weekly practices
Teaching skills safely and effectively
Choreographing routines and performance cheers
Introducing basic stunting fundamentals
Managing attendance and simple records
Training Provided:
Paid training covers teaching guidelines, practice structure, and shadowing a veteran coach to learn class flow and expectations.
