As a relationally driven, biblically based, and Spirit-led church, City Church operates with a non-denominational feel while holding an Assemblies of God affiliation that embraces the active, healthy operation of the gifts of the Spirit. City Church represents a multigenerational congregation dedicated to calling people to follow Jesus, grow together, and serve others. Located 15 minutes from the University of Virginia, the church is entering an exciting season of expansion as it prepares to break ground on a new 12,000-square-foot facility featuring dedicated gym space.

About the Ministry

Youth Ministry (6th–12th Grade): City Church Youth is a welcoming, Christ-centered community where middle and high school students discover what it means to follow Jesus together. Through biblical teaching, small groups, worship, games, and regular events, we help students build authentic friendships, grow in their faith, and learn to serve others in Charlottesville and beyond. Youth gather Sunday evenings, with additional retreats, outreach opportunities, and fun events throughout the year. The ministry currently averages around 30 students, with a strong and growing middle school presence.

Young Adult Ministry (Ages 22–30): City Church is actively investing in a growing young adult ministry that helps emerging adults build meaningful community while following Jesus together. Many young adults are already connected through life groups, and the church is looking to expand opportunities for discipleship, outreach, and social connection. Regular gatherings have included trivia nights, barbecues, bowling, and more. City Church is excited about the opportunity to continue developing a thriving ministry that reaches young professionals throughout the Charlottesville area.
