YMF's mission is to disrupt systems of inequity through healing-based music education, creative career pathways, and multigenerational community engagement. We provide tuition-free arts programming, instruments, technology, and creative opportunities to children, youth, young adults, and families, primarily from historically underserved communities across Los Angeles. Through culturally responsive instruction and hands-on career experiences, YMF helps students build artistic and technical skills, and access pathways to continued education, employment, and leadership with the support of the AmeriCorps VISTA project Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
