Are you passionate about helping others improve their health and well-being through yoga? The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is looking for enthusiastic, welcoming certified Yoga Instructors to create an inclusive and inspiring class experience for members of all ages and abilities.

Whether you're an experienced instructor or just beginning your teaching journey, we'd love to meet you! We provide support and training to help you succeed. As a Yoga Instructor, you'll lead classes that help members build strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness while fostering meaningful connections within our YMCA community.

At the YMCA, you'll do more than teach yoga-you'll help people feel healthier, more confident, and more connected while living our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Essential Functions:

• Lead safe, engaging, and educational yoga classes that support participants of varying ages, abilities, and experience levels.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every participant feels encouraged, supported, and successful.
• Build authentic relationships with members, helping them feel connected to one another and the YMCA community.
• Use active listening and positive encouragement to support members in reaching their individual health and wellness goals.
• Provide modifications and guidance to ensure participants can practice safely and confidently.
• Maintain current knowledge of yoga techniques, wellness trends, and YMCA best practices to deliver high-quality instruction.
• Promote member engagement by sharing information about YMCA programs, services, and wellness opportunities.
• Arrive prepared and on time, ensuring classes begin promptly with appropriate equipment and a safe environment.
• Follow all YMCA policies and procedures, including emergency and safety protocols.

Pay: $20.25+ per hour, depending on experience level
