The opportunity
We are looking for a yoga instructor to lead accessible, trauma-informed classes for retreat guests of every age, body, and experience level — on the deck, in the arena room, and under the oaks.
What you’ll do
- Teach gentle, restorative, and all-levels yoga, plus breath and grounding practices.
- Offer modifications and invitational language so every guest can take part.
- Tailor classes to the retreat, from morning movement to evening restorative practice.
- Lead sessions that fit the theme, pace, and goals of each retreat, in partnership with the Wellness Director.
- Arrive prepared, set up your space, and leave it ready for the next group.
- Communicate with retreat staff before and after sessions and share any concerns about a guest’s well-being.
What you bring
- RYT-200 certification or higher.
- 2+ years of experience teaching group classes.
- Trauma-informed yoga training (preferred), and experience with beginners and mixed-ability groups.
- Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain).
Who you are
- Grounded, warm, and trauma-aware, with a gentle and invitational style.
- Collaborative and easy to work with; you see yourself as part of the retreat team.
- Flexible and reliable, comfortable working outdoors and on some weekends.
