• Starting Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience) 
• • Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour
• Location: Mt. Pleasant, IA  
• Shift Details: 2:30 PM – 10:50 PM (Core Hours) 
• • Monday - Friday
  • OT as needed  
• Full-Time / Direct Hire 

Position Overview

Are you a Class A CDL holder looking to transition away from the grueling demands of over-the-road (OTR) driving while keeping your license active? We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded Yard Truck Driver & Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Mount Pleasant.

In thisrole, you will split your time between spotting trailers in our yard and operating a forklift inside our regional distribution center. You get the stability and variety of an active warehouse environment, a consistent evening schedule, and the guarantee of being home every single day.

CDL Driver / Material Handler Duties  

• Utilize spotting truck to move trailers into and out of docks
• 30% of time is spent driving truck and 70% of time is spent material handling
• Preparing and shipping HHT’s industry-leading fireplaces, stoves and hearth products   
• • Picking & Pulling Parts 
  • Stage & prepare pallets for shipment
  • Loading freight into trailers  
• Utilizing a variety of industrial material handling equipment:   
• • Forklifts
  • Order Selectors  
  • Scanners  
  • Shrink wrap machines  

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Must possess a valid Class A CDL
• Driving Record: Clean MVR with no major recent violations
• Experience:
• • Minimum of 1-year commercial driving experience (yard spotting, regional or OTR experience preferred)
  • Minimum of 1-year experience operating forklifts (experience in a warehouse environment preferred)
• Physical Demands: Ability to climb in and out of the yard truck and forklift, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skills: strong spatial awareness for tight yard maneuvering; ability to work independently; comfortable utilizing warehouse inventory technology or scanners
