• Operate authorized heavy equipment safely and responsibly.
• Assist with sorting, moving, identifying, and organizing steel throughout the yard.
• Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies, unidentified material, and inaccurate records.
• Coordinate priorities and communicate effectively with management, employees, and other departments.
• Train employees on assigned duties, equipment operation, documentation, and safe work practices.
• Ensure employees follow company safety policies, operating procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a heavy-industrial, steel-processing, manufacturing, scrap, or material-handling environment is preferred.

• Experience operating grinders, cutting torches, and related industrial equipment.
• Experience safely operating heavy equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use micrometers accurately.
• Ability to maintain thorough and accurate inventory and testing records.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing changing priorities.
• Ability to lead employees while remaining actively involved in daily operations.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, and accountability.
