About the Role

As our Yard Operations Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of the day-to-day operation of our yard while helping grow revenue and expand customer relationships.

You'll manage inventory, receive incoming products, serve customers, build contractor relationships, coordinate deliveries, and identify opportunities to increase revenue.


This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys making decisions, improving operations, and taking ownership of results.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the day-to-day operation of the yard.
  • Receive incoming inventory and verify product quality and quantities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and coordinate replenishment.
  • Keep the yard organized, clean, safe, and customer-ready.
  • Operate forklifts and yard equipment safely (training provided if needed).
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling.
  • Process walk-in, contractor, and phone orders.
  • Build long-term relationships with contractors and repeat customers.
  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Deliver sold fencing materials when needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in yard operations, building materials, fencing, lumber, warehouse operations, or a related industry.
  • Customer service and sales experience.
  • Results-driven with a track record of improving operations, sales, or customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of accountability.
  • Comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical work throughout the day.
