Description

Yard Foreman

Location: Ogden, UT

Pay Range: $24-$27/hr.

Schedule: 4 days per week, Monday-Saturday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM weekdays and 8:00 AM-2:00 PM Saturdays. Sundays and one weekday off.

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Yard Foreman to oversee daily yard operations for a busy industrial recycling facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, staying organized, and leading a team.

The ideal candidate is safety-minded, organized, comfortable making decisions, and able to balance production, customer service, and team supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily yard operations and help ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and organized.
  • Operate forklifts, material handlers, and other yard equipment as needed.
  • Supervise and provide direction to yard employees, setting clear expectations and leading by example.
  • Organize and optimize material storage to maintain an efficient flow of materials throughout the yard.
  • Assist customers and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Help ensure customer needs are addressed efficiently and professionally.
  • Track inventory and material movement using company software and computer systems.
  • Process customer transactions and payments as required.
  • Train employees on proper procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the yard.
  • Assist with other duties as needed to keep daily operations running efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, recycling, industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Comfortable operating or learning to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills; training will be provided on company-specific software.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide direction to a team.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

Schedule

This position works four days per week between Monday and Saturday.

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Sunday and one weekday off each week
