Schedule: Full-Time Available Shifts:
- Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:30 PM
- Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-12:00 AM
- Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM-7:00 AM
Penmac Staffing is seeking dependable and safety-focused CDL A Yard Drivers for a growing logistics operation. This position is responsible for moving trailers safely and efficiently throughout the yard, supporting warehouse and transportation operations, and helping maintain a smooth workflow. - Valid CDL Class A license required
- Previous yard driving, hostler, trucking, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to safely maneuver tractor-trailers in tight spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions as needed
- Ability to follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Must be willing to submit to required screening processes
CDL A Yard Driver Responsibilities
- Move trailers throughout the facility yard safely and efficiently
- Position trailers at designated dock doors as directed
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment concerns
- Maintain accurate movement logs and required documentation
- Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to support daily operations
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Monitor trailer inventory and assist with yard organization
- Communicate operational issues or delays to leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
