We are currently hiring experienced Yard Dog / Jockey Drivers for a busy warehouse yard in Louisville, KY. This is a great opportunity for safety-focused drivers looking for steady, local work in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Yard Dog / Spotter Driver Starting at $24/hr.
Location: Louisville, KY
Local Yard Position - No OTR Driving
Responsibilities
- Safely operate yard truck / spotter truck to move trailers in the yard
- Spot and back trailers into dock doors for loading and unloading
- Stage trailers in designated areas for production and shipping
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard equipment
- Maintain trailer movement logs and yard organization
- Communicate with shipping/receiving teams to coordinate trailer moves
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 1 years of Yard Dog / Spotter / Jockey experience REQUIRED
- Valid Driver's License (CDL A or B preferred but not required)
- Experience backing trailers into tight dock spaces
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in fast-paced warehouse environment
