Yard Dog Jockey Operator

Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a Yard Dog Jockey Operator to join their team. As a Yard Dog Jockey Operator, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring smooth yard activities and efficient trailer movements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Yard Dog Jockey Operator

Location: Moncks Corner, SC

Pay Range:$19.00

Shift: 6am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, Saturday OT as needed

What's the Job?

• Operate a yard tractor (yard dog) to move trailers to and from docks, staging areas, and parking locations
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of yard equipment and report maintenance needs
• Ensure trailers are positioned accurately for loading and unloading operations
• Maintain continuous communication with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams
• Monitor yard conditions and identify potential safety hazards

What's Needed?

• Valid driving experience with a focus on yard tractor operation
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Strong attention to safety and operational procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and dispatch
• Ability to perform basic inspections and report issues accurately
