Primary FunctionThe Yard Coordinator II serves as a key point of contact in the yard, supporting daily operations through coordination of equipment movement, customer and driver interaction, and accurate documentation of transactionsEssential DutiesYard Operations Coordination and Equipment Handling
Coordinate movement of machines within yard and assign locations based on operational needsLoad and unload equipment and attachments for rentals, returns, repairs, and salesStage equipment for inspections, service, and transport readinessDirect Yard Tech I activities as appropriate to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to priorities
Customer and Driver Coordination
Greet customers and drivers entering yard and direct them to appropriate personnelCoordinate inbound and outbound equipment traffic and communicate yard proceduresServe as primary contact for drivers to ensure safe and efficient equipment flow
Inventory and Asset Management
Maintain and update equipment and attachment inventory records in yard systemsLabel and track all machines and attachments to ensure accurate identification and controlVerify equipment details and authorize releases in accordance with company proceduresMonitor equipment movement and ensure accurate transaction reporting
Administrative and Documentation Coordination
Maintain daily gate logs and disburse transaction reports to appropriate personnelProcess and verify documentation for equipment movement, transfers, and releasesCapture and upload digital photographs of inbound and outbound equipment to required systemsEnsure accuracy and completeness of data entries and resolve discrepancies
Yard Maintenance, Safety, and Equipment Preparation
Enforce safe working practices and monitor yard activity for compliance with safety standardsOrganize yard layout and maintain orderly storage of equipment and attachmentsPerform routine equipment preparation including cleaning, fluid checks, and minor adjustmentsObserve and measure equipment and trailer dimensions to support safe handling and transport
Minimum RequirementsEducationHigh School diploma.Work Experience
4+ years of related experience.
Physical
Physical ability to climb and operate equipment numerous times on a daily basis.Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Other
Must have beginner/intermediate PC skills to enter basic information.Ability to obtain a forklift and tele handler license.Must be able to work independently.Ability to read and comprehend shipping information and follow through on verbal communications.Demonstrate strong professional customer service skills.Must be self-sufficient and detail oriented.Has operated or can quickly learn to operate various construction and industrial equipment.Must have a current driver's license.
