Job Title: Administrative Coordinator - Jazz Studies Program
Department: Department of Music / Jazz Studies Program
Reports To: Director of Jazz Studies; Chair, Department of Music
Location: Hybrid (Onsite & Remote)
Compensation: $3750 per semester (10 hours per week on average)
Position Overview:
The Audio and Administrative Coordinator supports the Jazz Studies program with a combination of event support and administrative tasks, with opportunities to assist with audio engineering for live performance and post-production editing.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in arts administration who thrives in both live performance production and behind-the-scenes roles.
This is a part-time position, offering flexibility with some remote work possible depending on scheduling and event needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Event & Guest Artist Logistics
Assist with scheduling, hospitality, and stage setup for concerts and masterclasses
Support the Green Country Jazz Festival and other major jazz events
Administrative Support
Manage paperwork and payment processing for guest artists
Assist with communications and scheduling for jazz program events
Follow up on logistics and communications to ensure event success
Library & Rehearsal Prep
Assist with music library duties, including copying and taping music
Help with setup and equipment needs for rehearsals and performances
Tour Coordination
Oversee logistical planning and execution of jazz ensemble tours
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Experience with music event coordination preferred
Knowledge of jazz or a background in music is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with audio engineering for live performance and post-production
