Position Summary
The X-Ray Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam process and answering questions.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional imaging environment.
- Assist with quality assurance and departmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- Current Texas Medical Board MRT certification required.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of radiography experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
