X-Ray Tech

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a leading outpatient imaging center in White Plains, NY.
 

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00am to 5:00pm
• $50.00 - $60.00 per hour, based on experience
• White Plains, NY
• On-site parking available

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-Ray examinations while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation throughout the exam process.
• Operate radiographic equipment and select appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Review and evaluate images for quality assurance and proper patient identification.
• Prepare studies for interpretation by radiologists and referring physicians.
• Perform CT and/or MRI examinations based on training and department needs.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Perform routine equipment quality control checks and report equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Assist with departmental quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of imaging experience required.
• Must have recent X-Ray Technologist experience.
• Must have experience in at least one advanced imaging modality:
  • CT Technologist experience, and/or
  • MRI Technologist experience
• Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Certification required.
• Active ARRT Certification required.
• Active BLS Certification required.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple imaging modalities in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
