Description
Join the dedicated team at WCS Healthcare Partners as we seek a skilled professional to perform specialized technical tasks in diagnostic imaging. This role involves utilizing advanced technology to assist medical personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities and providing quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform procedures according to departmental format, completing exams in allotted time.
- Conduct required daily clerical duties, including the use of EPIC, Tele Tracking System, and other computer systems.
- Perform portable ultrasound exams and assist physicians with various diagnostic procedures.
- Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and ensure their comfort.
- Evaluate the technical quality of images and maintain records of ultrasound data.
- Calibrate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to students and medical residents.
- Adhere to the policies of Employee ID, Standards of Behavior, Attendance, and Punctuality.
- Modify and deliver care specific to patient needs, including communication at their level.
Requirements
- Must hold a BLS certification.
- Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment and their operation.
- Understanding of equipment and computer systems for service procedures.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
Required Hard Skills
- Breast ultrasound imaging and scanning techniques.
- Knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Image optimization and quality assurance.
- Ultrasound-guided breast biopsy assistance.
- Equipment operation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Infection prevention and sterile technique.
- EMR/Epic documentation and PACS image management.
- CPR/BLS certification and HIPAA compliance.

Certifications & Licensure
- R.D.M.S. registered.
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) specialty or equivalent breast ultrasound credential.
