    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The WWT Operator is responsible for all the functions as listed below. Operation of this area

    must be understood in total with the focus of utilizing the equipment to meet all the quality and

    productivity goals as outlined in our quality system. All work instructions must be followed as

    outlined

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Review and monitoring of all Safety concerns in their area :

    Training

    Enforcement of Safety

    Communication

    Maintain Housekeeping

    Maintain environmental compliance

    Perform acid analysis as needed

    • Address all issues in their area:

    Work Instructions

    Training

    Vacation Scheduling

    Corrective Actions

    All employee related issues

    • Operate the plant in a manner that will ensure environmental compliance:

    Maintain sludge levels

    Perform all necessary testing

    Work with AP operators as needed

    Work with maintenance personnel as needed

    WWT Functions

    • General overview of the WWT plant and AP Lines
    • General safety
    • Lock out tag out
    • ISO
    • AS-400
    • Forklift training
    • Time sheets
    • Time off requests
    • Accident/incident reports
    • Recycle program
    • Serious misconduct policy
    • Operation of the WTP Plant
    • Neutralization tanks
    • Lime silos and addition
    • Clarifiers
    • Waste acid tanks
    • Outfall
    • Sand filters
    • Computer control of the systems
    • Belt press operation
    • Sludge truck movement
    • Scanacon monitoring
    • SAFU system
    • Acid management
    • PH control
    • WWT checklist
    • Fie watch checks
    • Boiler water chemistry monitoring
    • Refill brine tanks as needed
    • pH monitoring and probe verification
    • Settling tests
    • Sludge level monitoring
    • Monitor Nitrites and adjust sulfamic as required

    SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Other duties as assigned

    2. Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of High School Degree or Equivalent (GED).

    PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Mobility in plant
    • While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand,

    walk, etc.

    • The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Visual ability with or without correction
    • Communication abilities

    HEALTH AND SAFETY:

    1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations

    2. Follow Company safety rules

    3. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor

    or Manager immediately

    1. Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or

    worn:

    a. Safety shoes

    b. Safety glasses

    c. Hearing protection

    d. Hard Hat

    Some areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as:

    e. Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with

    company policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.

    f.Fire Retardant clothing

    g. Acid PPE

    1. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the

    Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy

    1. Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines

    2. Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations

    3. Maintain a clean and safe work area

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations

    2. Clean, well ventilated and safe work areas.

    HUMAN RESOURCES:
