A Brief Overview

Prepares rooms, stocks supplies and linens, rooms and transports patients, and assists provider with treatment procedures.

What you will do

  • Casts and assists with wound vac placement and removal.
  • Transfers patients to wheelchairs and stretchers using mechanical lifts.
  • Rooms patients.
  • Answers call lights, prepares patients for treatment, and assists with room turnover.
  • Transports patients to other areas of the hospital as directed.
  • Assists with inventory, supply order, entering data into tracking systems, and preparing educational materials.
  • Assists in end of day cleaning and transporting equipment to centralized sterilization.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • High School or GED Equivalent or 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
