    Description

    A leading provider of advanced wound care services is seeking a Full-Time Wound Care Physician (MD/DO) to join and lead an established and busy outpatient wound care program in the Plano, Texas area.

    This position is focused exclusively on procedural wound care in an outpatient setting, offering an excellent work-life balance with predictable daytime hours and no call requirements. Provider will average 25 patients per day.

    Position Highlights

    • Outpatient wound care clinic setting
    • Monday through Friday daytime schedule, averaging 40 hours per week
    • No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities
    • Appointment-based practice with no walk-in patients
    • Comprehensive clinical support team, including Case Managers, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and administrative staff
    • Opportunity for leadership and professional growth
    • Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training provided

    Scope of Practice

    This is a highly procedural role serving primarily geriatric patients with chronic and complex wounds. Physicians provide advanced wound management treatments, including:

    • Debridement and wound management procedures
    • Compression therapy
    • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO)
    • Infection prevention and management
    • Wound cleansing and dressing applications
    • Treatment of cellulitis and other wound-related conditions

    Qualifications

    • MD or DO degree
    • Board Certified in a primary specialty
    • Active and unrestricted state medical license
    • Active DEA registration
    • Strong procedural background required
    • Recent hands-on experience with Wound care debridements and Hyberbaric Oxygen Therapy
    • Procedural case logs will be required during credentialing
