ABOUT THE ROLE

Christ Church aims to encounter the living God in such a way that brings glory to Christ and stirs their hearts to actively express love and devotion to God in every opportunity for worship. The Worship Director at Christ Church not only leads the congregation in gospel-centered, Spirit-led worship, but this leader also influences the church to grow as worshippers.

This person will lead the team and coordinate the production resources necessary to execute a creative, distraction-free, God-glorifying service. To be successful in this role, a person must be committed to their personal discipleship in order to genuinely invite others to join them in true worship, as well as possess the musicality and production expertise to execute high-impact worship services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Character: A growing member of Christ Church who meets the qualifications of deacons in 1 Tim. 3:8-13.
  • Compatibility: Embodies the values, philosophies, and culture of Christ Church.
  • Chemistry: Joyfully and effectively works within the organizational structure of Christ Church.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead worship services and worship engagements
    • Lead services as scheduled on weekends and for special events.
    • Collaborate with the broader worship team to plan services.
    • Coordinate and direct the band members and other vocalists.
  • Produce worship services and worship engagements
    • Implement and oversee all AVL systems.
    • Uphold the guidelines and standards for the production of services.
    • Evaluate and ensure the quality of technical systems and make repairs/adjustments when necessary.
    • Manage and produce all post-service audio and video.
  • Support the campus worship and production teams
    • Schedule teams for weekend services and other events where worship is present.
    • Train and assimilate new team members, while caring for and developing existing team members.
    • Communicate regularly with the team, including weekly service flow communication and post-weekend debrief communication.
    • Manage the ministry's worship calendar.

  • Team Player: Humble, hungry, and smart. Eagerness to work as part of a team with a common mission and goals, and a humble willingness to accept constructive feedback.
