Worldwide Technical Regulation Compliance Engineer

Description -

The Worldwide Technical Regulation Compliance Engineer applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure product conforms to engineering design with safe & legal compliance.
  • Track and manage all compliance requirement/activity for multiple development projects
  • Ensure that new product introduction timelines are on schedule with certification approvals.
  • Prepare Declarations of Conformity
  • Oversee compliance testing execution by the ODM's and 3rd party test labs per HP's test requirements. Verify OEM documents are correct.
  • Interface with HP internal groups (product development teams & worldwide technical regulation engineers) as well as ODM partners.
  • Work closely with HP compliance groups to follow up/manage the agency regulation
  • dynamics (such as regulations, requirements, lead-time, cost, changes, as well as regional specific issues.).
  • Present/highlight agency certification status to HP development program team and management

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar STEM levels (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Typically, 2-4 years’ experience either in EMC product compliance design or EMC compliance product evaluation
  • Familiar with PC related high-paced technologies required.
  • Experience in working closely with external suppliers, defining requirements, and managing supplier performance.
  • Some knowledge in Safety, Telecom and Energy PC compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary

The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
