    Description

    DPP is seeking a Workstation Support Technician for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
     
    Work location: Onsite in Columbia, SC
    Duration: 11 months
    Terms: W2 Contract
    Work authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a low-level (Public Trust) clearance
     
    Position Summary:
    • This position could be building, backing up data, installing software, and deploying new workstations to users in our environment.
    • We have a sub team of 15 members of the greater team of 70 for all of Workstation Support.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another job-related field;
    • OR 2 years of job-related work experience.
    • CompTIA A+ or higher is preferred, not required.
    • 1 year of technical operations support experience preferred, not required.
    Required Technologies:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneNote, with the ability to leverage these tools to support daily business operations.
    • Experienced in delivering professional customer service, resolving inquiries, and communicating effectively through phone, Microsoft Teams, and email in a fast-paced business environment.
    • Self-driven leader with the ability to manage assigned responsibilities independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and provide guidance and support to team members while operating effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage records, track assets and requests, support operational activities, and ensure compliance with established processes and procedures.
    • General knowledge of computer equipment and peripheral devices, with the ability to identify and communicate technically when needed.
    Soft Skills:
    • Customer service and communication are the biggest skills needed in this role since we directly work with keeping users productive.
