Workforce Placement Consultant

A day in this role
You start by meeting one-on-one with a job seeker, mapping their strengths, interests, and goals into a clear plan. Midday, you facilitate a practical workshop on interview strategy and resume refinement. In the afternoon, you connect with local employers to uncover openings and align talent with business needs. You wrap up by updating outcomes, tracking progress, and checking in with newly placed clients to support long-term retention.
What you'll do
- Partner individually with candidates to understand abilities, interests, and career objectives.
- Create customized search plans that include resume optimization, interview coaching, and networking tactics.
- Stay current on Central Arkansas labor-market trends and hiring needs to guide candidates effectively.
- Design and lead group sessions on job readiness and career advancement topics.
- Develop and sustain relationships with employers to surface roles and build placement pipelines.
- Document results, analyze placement metrics, and report client progress.
- Provide ongoing post-placement follow-up and support to promote job retention.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Background in workforce development, employment services, or career counseling/coaching.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; comfortable serving diverse populations.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office and familiarity with leading job search platforms.
- Self-directed and collaborative; effective in a fast-moving team environment.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for helping people reach their career goals.
- Proficiency in Customer Service and Human Resources.
