    Job Summary: The Workforce Development (WFD) Instructor - Medical Assisting/Phlebotomy provides classroom and/or lab instruction to adult learners in medical assisting and phlebotomy coursework. This position supports workforce readiness by delivering competency-based instruction aligned with industry standards and certification requirements in healthcare support roles.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Associates Degree; 5 years of medical assistant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Licensing Requirements:

    Current Phlebotomy Certificate

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1-year teaching experience

    Possess a nationally-recognized medical assistant certification

    Job Specific Task List:

    • Deliver instruction in medical assisting and phlebotomy theory, procedures, and clinical skills - (Essential)
    • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with workforce development and certification standards (e.g., MA and CPT competencies) - (Essential)
    • Provide hands-on instruction in clinical skills such as venipuncture, specimen collection, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures - (Essential)
    • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support skill development and certification readiness - (Essential)
    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress - (Essential)
    • Support student engagement, retention, and successful program completion - (Essential)
    • Ensure compliance with safety, clinical, and instructional standards in lab and clinical environments - (Essential)
    • Collaborate with program staff and clinical partners to support student learning outcomes - (Essential)
