Lone Star Paving is a paving contractor, operating in the Central Texas region with paving crews, HMA, aggregate, trucking, milling, and quality control. Our operations complete heavy highway and civil projects throughout Texas. We pride ourselves in being a family-oriented organization with a goal of upholding the safety and health of our number one asset, our employees. Position OverviewThe Workforce Development Specialist will work with various departments and teams to ensure organization, execution, of the learning management system. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver workforce development programs and training sessionsProvide support and guidance to program participants as they pursue their career goalsConduct research on best practices in workforce developmentResponsible for new hires OSHA training,Maintaining the learning management systemTrack and report on program outcomesAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications1+ year experienceWork experienceMust be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.Must be positive, friendly and professional.Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.Must demonstrate professional communication in reaching out to employees and managers for needed documents.Willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as they arise.Exhibit excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize various tasks and complete them in a timely manner.Able to perform duties independently.Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required. Knowledge/Skill RequirementsEntry Level Position Working ConditionsWork will be performed in office setting- must be in (SELECT - Austin, San Antonio, etc.) area.Full time, hourly.
