Workforce Development Instructor Lead with Excellence Series (Healthcare Focus) Gogebic Community College is seeking a qualified Workforce Development Instructor for this contracted position to deliver and enhance leadership training within the Lead with Excellence Series, with a specific focus on the healthcare industry. Compensation will be determined on a contract -by-contract basis, commensurate with the scope of work, qualifications, and instructional requirements . Curriculum development will be paid for by a separate stipend. This role includes both instruction and curriculum adaptation responsibilities to ensure content is relevant to healthcare environments such as hospitals, clinics, long -term care, and other patient -centered settings. Courses may be delivered at GCC campuses, on -site at healthcare organizations, through virtual platforms or MWTEC Consortium. Scheduling is flexible and may include daytime, evening, or customized training sessions based on employer needs. This position reports to the Director of Workforce Development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Facilitate engaging, high -quality instruction for leadership and supervision training courses within the Lead with Excellence Series. • Adapt and customize existing curriculum to align with healthcare industry needs, including modifying content, incorporating relevant scenarios, and emphasizing regulatory, clinical, and patient -centered considerations. • Integrate healthcare -specific topics such as team communication in clinical settings, patient safety culture, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership in high -stakes environments. • Incorporate real -world healthcare examples, case studies, and interactive activities to enhance learning and application. • Engage a diverse audience including frontline healthcare workers, supervisors, nurses, and emerging leaders. • Provide timely feedback and support to participants to encourage skill development and workplace application. • Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and course outcomes as required. • Communicate effectively with program coordinators and healthcare partners regarding course delivery and participant progress. • Stay current with trends and best practices in both healthcare operations and leadership development. Required Qualification s: • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, healthcare administration, business, education, or a related field (Master's preferred). • Relevant professional experience in a healthcare setting with leadership, supervisory, or management responsibilities. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Ability to engage and instruct adult learners in a professional training environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior teaching, training, or facilitation experience (especially with adult learners). • Experience delivering workforce or corporate training programs. • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance, and organizational structures. • Experience adapting or developing curriculum for industry -specific training. • Experience with virtual instruction platforms. Additional Information: • This is a part -time, contracted instructor position with flexible scheduling. • Instructors may contribute to ongoing curriculum refinement based on employer feedback and industry trends. • Instructors engaged for Workforce Development training may be contracted on a per -course basis. Engagement under these contracts does not constitute employment with Gogebic Community College, and instructors are not considered college employees unless othe rwise formally appointed.
