Responsibilities
Handle workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution
Attend hearings, status calls, depositions, and settlement conferences
Communicate directly with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives
Draft motions, petitions, and related legal documents
Evaluate claims, develop litigation strategy, and negotiate settlements
Maintain case files and manage deadlines effectively
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case handling
Qualifications
3+ years of workers’ compensation experience preferred
Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Ability to manage files independently
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a busy caseload
Prior plaintiff-side experience is a plus, but not required
Preferred Background
