    Salary/Payrate: $120K-$160K annually and IMPRESSIVE benefits!!!

    Work Environment:  Onsite

    Bachelor’s degree required: Yes, and JD plus Licensed to practice in Louisiana.

    Job Description

    A growing defense firm with a strong reputation in litigation is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join its Mandeville LA office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of workers’ compensation defense experience or a strong background in medical-related issues. This position offers the opportunity for rapid professional growth, regular client contact.

     


    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and analyze complex legal issues related to workers’ compensation matters.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and detailed reports
    • Conduct depositions, site inspections, and witness preparation.
    • Appear in court, argue motions, and participate in mediations.
    • Manage all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation and trial work.
    • Collaborate with clients, adjusters, employers, and experts throughout the lifecycle of a claim.
    • Travel as needed, primarily within the State of Louisiana



    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of workers’ compensation defense experience
    • Juris Doctor (J.D.)
    • Must be licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana (would be an added plus to be licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi)
    • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
    • Appellate experience is a plus.
    • Excellent client communication and interpersonal abilities
