Workday Functional Analyst I Core HCM

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
On-Call Requirement: Availability for on-call support as needed, including potential after-hours and weekend coverage

Position Overview

We are seeking a Workday Functional Analyst I specializing in Core Human Capital Management (HCM) to support the configuration, maintenance, testing, and optimization of Workday applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on functional Workday HCM experience and the ability to analyze business processes, troubleshoot application issues, implement system enhancements, and support end users through training and communication.

Candidates must have functional Workday HCM experience to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and test Workday functionality to support business processes and operational workflows.

• Evaluate proposed system modifications and enhancements and implement appropriate configuration changes.

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Workday functional workflows and application capabilities.

• Support the deployment of Workday feature releases, system updates, and ongoing maintenance.

• Identify opportunities for system optimization and process improvement.

• Collaborate with vendors, technical teams, project stakeholders, and end users to develop and implement effective solutions.

• Investigate complex application issues, analyze root causes, and recommend practical solutions.

• Coordinate and deliver end-user communications, training sessions, and educational materials.

• Support application updates, new functionality, and organizational process changes.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various organizational levels.

• Manage assigned tasks independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and provide timely follow-up.

• Provide application support for time-sensitive projects, including after-hours and weekend coverage when required.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service and support organizational goals and values.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated functional Workday HCM experience.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience troubleshooting business application issues and evaluating potential solutions.

• Ability to learn new technologies and complete required application training.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Workday training or experience with relevant Core HCM functionality.

• Experience supporting application configuration, testing, releases, and end-user training.

Work Environment

This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, technology teams, business users, and senior leadership. The analyst may coordinate work across teams without direct supervisory responsibility.

The position may require flexibility to support critical application issues, scheduled releases, and business-driven projects outside regular working hours.
