Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst

IDR is seeking a Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will support a Workday configuration and business analysis initiative, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable financial solutions. This position sits within a fast-paced, enterprise environment supporting a large-scale implementation program in an example industry such as technology services.

Position Overview for the Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst:

• Support a Workday implementation project by gathering requirements, translating needs into functional design, and assisting with configuration activities
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Project Management, and Technology stakeholders to ensure accurate financial processes and reporting outcomes
• Help drive labor capitalization and expense classification processes to support compliant tracking and reporting
• Develop and deliver Workday-based reporting and analysis to support operational and financial decision-making
• Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, documentation, and end-user guidance as needed

Requirements for the Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst:

• 10+ years of finance experience with strong understanding of core accounting and financial operations
• 5+ years of experience as a Workday Business Systems Analyst supporting Workday implementation and production support
• Hands-on experience in business requirements gathering, documentation, and translating needs into Workday configuration/customization
• Demonstrated knowledge of labor capitalization, project accounting, and CapEx vs. OpEx classification
• Advanced Excel skills and experience producing financial reporting and data analysis, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities
