Workday Enterprise Architect

Location: Miami, FL – Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in Workday PATT (Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday configuration, solution design, data conversion, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support across payroll, time tracking, and absence management.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Design

• Translate business requirements into functional Workday designs across Absence Plans, Time Tracking Calculations, and Payroll Processing.

• Design and configure Workday solutions aligned with business requirements and best practices.

• Support complex payroll, time, and absence requirements.

Data Conversion

• Assist with cleaning, mapping, and migration of legacy payroll and time-off data into Workday.

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the conversion process.

• Support data validation and reconciliation activities.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test scripts.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Execute unit testing and support defect identification and resolution prior to go-live.

• Ensure solutions meet functional and business requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Core HCM, Finance, HR, Payroll, and other functional teams.

• Ensure payroll, time, and absence data flows correctly across Workday and related business processes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve functional and integration-related issues.

Post-Go-Live Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Support Workday release updates and ongoing configuration changes.

• Optimize Workday configurations based on evolving business requirements.

• Provide ongoing functional support for payroll, absence, and time tracking.

Stakeholder Enablement

• Assist in developing training materials, user guides, and process documentation.

• Support end-user and payroll administrator enablement.

• Communicate Workday functionality and best practices to business stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of US or Global Payroll Operations, tax compliance, leave policies, and timekeeping regulations.

• Active Workday certifications in Payroll, Absence Management, and/or Time Tracking.

• 3–5+ years of hands-on Workday PATT configuration and end-to-end deployment experience.

• Strong experience with Workday Payroll, Absence Management, and Time Tracking.

• Ability to develop reports and handle retroactive adjustments and complex tax/payroll calculations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.

• Ability to advise business and executive stakeholders on Workday best practices and change management.

• Experience with data conversion, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
