Workday Benefits Configuration Consultant - 3679985

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Workday Benefits Configuration Consultant position! This is a 2+ month short term contract and will be remote in the United States.

This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide expertise and support for a short term project focused on configuring complex benefit plan structures independently within Workday Benefits module for open enrollment cycle
• Build and optimize calc fields and functional configurations to support multiple benefit plan options and scaled pricing models
• Implement functional review recommendations to enhance and optimize the HCM platform
• Configure pre-tax and post-tax benefit elections, voluntary benefits, and tiered pricing structures
• Collaborate with the Workday analytics team to support high-volume open enrollment and compensation cycles
• Design and test benefit configurations to ensure accuracy across diverse employee populations and plan offerings
• Support system optimization initiatives by implementing recommended enhancements to existing benefit architecture
• Document configuration decisions and maintain technical specifications for ongoing system maintenance

What You'll Need to Have:

• Deep expertise in Workday Benefits configuration including full benefit module builds for organizations with complex benefit structures
• Proven ability to configure independently without significant oversight - capable of owning configuration from requirements through testing
• Hands-on experience building complex calculated fields and custom benefit formulas within Workday
• Strong experience with multiple benefit plan types including scaled pricing models, voluntary benefits, and pre/post tax configurations
• Participation in multiple open enrollment cycles with direct configuration responsibilities
• Solid core HCM knowledge with experience in at least one additional Workday module
• Demonstrated ability to translate functional requirements into technical configurations that optimize system performance

Pay Range: $50 - $65+/hr
