    Description

    The Work Transfer Project Manager will lead supply chain, supplier development, and end-to-end work transfer projects from initiation through completion. The role will coordinate global teams, suppliers, engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful transitions and production readiness.

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
    • 5+ years of project management experience in aerospace, manufacturing, supply chain, or supplier development environments.
    • Demonstrated experience leading work transfers, supplier transitions, site-to-site transfers, or global transition programs in a regulated manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of supplier management, production operations, quality systems, and procurement processes.
    • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, schedules, and stakeholder communications.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • PMP Certification.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
    • Experience with AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
    • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.

    • Lead supply chain and supplier development projects from initiation through completion.
    • Manage project schedules, budgets, revenue forecasts, and customer deliverables.
    • Track supplier commitments, identify risks, and implement escalation and recovery plans.
    • Facilitate meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
    • Conduct supplier assessments and drive performance improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Develop and maintain Supplier Improvement Plans (SIPs) and KPI dashboards.
    • Support supplier quality initiatives, documentation updates, and training activities.
    • Lead end-to-end supplier work transfers and global transitions, from business case and transition planning through production readiness, cutover, stabilization, and closure.
    • Develop integrated transition plans covering scope, milestones, resources, dependencies, risks, governance, and success criteria.
    • Coordinate sending-site and receiving-site activities across global teams, suppliers, engineering, quality, operations, planning, procurement, legal, and customer stakeholders.
    • Manage transition readiness, including capacity, tooling, equipment, documentation, training, qualifications, first article requirements, inventory strategy, and production validation.
    • Establish clear ownership, decision paths, reporting cadence, and escalation mechanisms.
    • Track transition actions through closure and maintain disciplined follow-up on commitments, risks, approvals, and recovery actions.
    • Drive knowledge transfer and lessons learned to support sustainable handoff and operational stability.
    • Coordinate approvals across Engineering, Quality, Legal, Planning, and Procurement teams.
    • Prepare RFQs, supplier evaluation packages, due diligence reviews, and sourcing documentation.
    • Manage supplier communications throughout the RFQ, evaluation, and award process.
    • Support drawing reviews, manufacturing readiness activities, and technical reviews.
