    Job Description:

    This recruitment will be used to create a pool of part-time (a maximum of 24hours per week) Student Technical Assistant positions for the Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU).

    This position will be filled to assist AnRS with general office work including answering phones, filing, scanning, copy and manuscript assistance.

    Assist undergraduate advisor and program specialist with daily duties including but not limited to; updating website content, photograph and videotape AnRS animals, farming units, students and faculty for multimedia use as requested

    Employee will work in Withycombe Hall providing general clerical assistance as needed. Assist advisor with website updating, digital signboard upkeep, paperwork, photograph and videotape AnRS animals, farming units, students and faculty for multimedia use as requested. General office work including answering phones, greet visitors, filing, scanning, copy and manuscript assistance.

    • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
    • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
    • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard

      • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
      • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
      • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
      • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
      • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

    *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

    Preferred:

    Past experience that demonstrates the ability to work as a team

    Familiar with computer application such as Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.); Adobe Acrobat, Drupal (website editing), Workday – not all applications are required but note your level of competence in your cover letter

    Working Conditions/Schedule:

    Office Work in Withycombe Hall on Corvallis Main campus
    Schedule will be arranged around classes each term
    Computer use, copying, and general office duties

    Salary Range:

    15.55
