Position Description & Details

Join Bismarck State College as a Sunday Studio Worker and play an important role in supporting visual art students as they bring their creative projects to life. In this position, youll help provide access to campus art studios, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and ensure students have the resources they need to succeed. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience, build professional skills, and contribute to the vibrant artistic community at BSC.
What Youll Do
You will be directly accountable and responsible for granting access to the Skogen Hall art studios for art students, monitoring their use, and ensuring the premises have been vacated.
Hourly Rate: $16.00/hour
Additional Responsibilities
Monitor all art studios during Sunday Studio hours, including maintaining the Sunday Studio log
Promptly respond to call/texts when contacted via the BSC-issued cell phone to permit visual art students into the building during Sunday Studio hours
Ensure all art studios are empty prior to leaving Skogen Hall for the night by visually inspecting all studios and ensuring everyone on the Sunday Studio log has signed out
Monitor studios, making certain that they are being used appropriately
Contact BSC faculty/staff as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and handle interruptions
Experience in a college environment
Visual Art major
