Youll play an important role in creating a clean, welcoming environment for students, employees, and campus visitors while gaining valuable work experience and becoming part of a team that makes a difference every day.

Whatll You Do

Bismarck State College seeks a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team. You will be responsible for creating a clean and inviting campus for students, visitors, and employees.

Hourly Rate: $16.00/hour

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Cleans, sweeps, scrubs, and mops floors, stairways, halls, and other surfaces
  • Washes windows, walls, and woodwork
  • Cleans and services lavatories and restrooms; sanitizes and polishes fixtures
  • Cleans and dusts furniture; cleans carpets with vacuum cleaner and/or shampooer
  • Collects and disposes of waste and recycling
  • Maintains simple records pertaining to cleaning activities
  • Sets up meeting rooms and equipment for in-house/outside groups

Hazardous working conditions:

  • Work may include lifting 50 pounds or more and exposure to hazards, which could result in physical injury.
  • Must observe established safety practices and procedures in working with chemicals, materials, and equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Bismarck State College student
  • Ability to perform general cleaning work (i.e., restrooms, vacuum, mop, dust, etc.)
  • Ability to follow communicated instructions and work independently
