Wood Moulder Operator - Night Shift

Position Summary

The Night Shift Wood Moulder Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring wood moulding equipment during overnight production hours. This position ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules are achieved, and equipment operates safely and efficiently with limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor wood moulder machinery throughout the shift.
• Review production schedules and prioritize work to meet nightly production goals.
• Conduct quality inspections and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Complete startup and end-of-shift equipment checks.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment or quality issues.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Accurately complete production reports and shift documentation.
• Safely handle raw materials and finished products.
• Follow all company safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate production status and outstanding issues to incoming day shift personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous woodworking, manufacturing, or machine operator experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read measuring devices and production specifications.
• Strong attention to quality and workplace safety.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive movements.
• Ability to work in varying manufacturing conditions including wood dust and machine noise.
• Must be able to safely wear required PPE.
