    Position Summary

    Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale Florida is looking for a Primary Care Physician with a focus on Women's Health to join our team. This role would work embedded alongside our Women's Health Center team including Gynecology, UroGynecology & Gynecology Oncology. This role integrates preventive medicine, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health, wellness counseling, and coordination of specialty care.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult women

    • Perform preventive health screenings and annual wellness examinations

    • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

    • Provide gynecologic preventive services including:

    • Pap smears and cervical cancer screening

    • Contraceptive counseling and management

    • STI screening and treatment

    • Menopause and perimenopause management

    • Coordinate care with specialists including OB/GYN, breast surgery, endocrinology, cardiology, and oncology

    • Develop individualized care plans emphasizing preventive health and lifestyle medicine

    • Manage conditions commonly affecting women, including:

    • Hypertension

    • Diabetes

    • Thyroid disorders

    • Osteoporosis

    • Anxiety and depression

    • Obesity and metabolic syndrome

    • Counsel patients regarding nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, sexual health, and healthy aging

    • Participate in quality improvement, population health, women's health outreach initiatives and philanthropic activities to further grow the program

    • Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation within the Epic electronic health record

    • Support patient satisfaction, access, and continuity of care goals

    • Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing, care management, and ancillary staff

    • This is a full time position but part-time and flexible schedules will be considered

    • This is an ambulatory position. No hospital work is required.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

    • Completion of residency training in:

    • Family Medicine

    • Internal Medicine

    • 4+ Years of Experience

    Licensure & Certification

    • Board certified or board eligible in IM or FM
    • Current unrestricted FL medical license
    • DEA registration
    • BLS certification required

    Typical Scope of Practice

    The Women's Health Primary Care Specialist may provide:

    • Annual preventive visits
    • Chronic disease management
    • Acute management of typical primary care issues such as URIs, UTIs and other complaints
    • Menopause care
    • Breast health screening coordination
    • Cardiovascular risk reduction for women
    • Mental health screening
    • Weight management counseling
    • Preventive immunizations
    • Sexual and reproductive health services
