How you'll make an impact in this role
Setting: Outpatient OB/GYN clinic
Schedule: PRN: 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Weekends: No weekends
Call: No call responsibilities
Extended Hours: No evenings or extended clinic hours
Patient Volume: Approximately 18-25 patients per day
Appointment Length: 15- and 30-minute appointments
Practice Pace: Very fast-paced and busy
Patient Population: Unique and diverse patient population
Patient Mix: Strong combination of OB and GYN care
Practice Environment: Busy, collaborative outpatient clinic with a varied patient population
Collaborate with physicians to expand individualized primary healthcare services.
Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic health conditions.
Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations.
Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies and laboratory testing.
Provide preventive healthcare services, including:
Health assessments and screenings
Immunizations
Preventive counseling
Ongoing patient care and health maintenance
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, including appropriate referrals to healthcare providers and community resources.
Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers regarding:
Preventive health and wellness
Treatment options
Disease management
Available community resources
Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing processes in accordance with specialty-specific standards and network nursing policies.
