Manchester University is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Women's Flag Football Head Coach to lead and grow our NCAA Division III program. This full-time, 12-month position offers an exciting opportunity to build a competitive team while making a meaningful impact on student-athletes' academic, athletic, and personal development. The successful candidate will align the program with the University's mission, foster a positive team culture, and promote academic success and sportsmanship. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the Women's Flag Football program, including coaching, recruiting, retention, eligibility, scheduling, budgeting, and staff supervision.
What You'll Do:
- Recruit and retain student-athletes committed to both athletic excellence and academic achievement
- Plan and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitions with a strong emphasis on safety
- Oversee eligibility monitoring and coordinate support services for student-athletes
- Develop scheduling plans and manage team travel, equipment, and annual budgets
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaching staff
- Collaborate with Admissions, Athletics, Sports Information, and Student Life partners
- Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III, conference, and university regulations
- Represent the University professionally at competitions, events, and fundraising activities
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent coaching experience)
- Coaching or playing experience in collegiate athletics; NCAA Division III experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and commitment to compliance
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
