The Wiring Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing wiring, electrical components, controls, and related systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics, and experience using hand and power tools.

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Wiring Technician to join our team on 1st Shift. The Wiring Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing wiring, electrical components, controls, and related systems.The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics, and experience using hand and power tools. This position requires someone who can work independently, follow instructions, and troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install and maintain wiring, controls, and electrical systems.
• Drill holes and run new wires through cabinets and equipment.
• Install switches, controls, and electrical components.
• Inspect electrical components, including transformers, circuit breakers, and related equipment.
• Use diagnostic and testing equipment to identify electrical problems and ensure proper system functionality.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and wiring schematics.
• Test completed installations to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
• Follow instructions provided by managers and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties within your skill set as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to stand, crouch, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, building plans, and wiring schematics.
• Proficient use of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.

• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Experience

• Previous electrical, wiring, assembly, or related experience preferred.
• Technical or vocational training in electrical systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and crawl into awkward or confined spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must have the physical ability to perform wiring and installation tasks throughout the workday.

Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined individual with strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Candidates should be comfortable working with tools, reading wiring diagrams, and following detailed instructions.
