Wireless OTA-Connectivity Testing

Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite)

Introduction

You will be responsible for executing, validating, and certifying wireless performance across the client's product portfolio. Working hands-on at the intersection of hardware, software, and regulatory compliance, you will translate carrier and industry requirements into test cases, execute OTA validation plans, support certification testing at third-party labs, and debug wireless performance issues alongside antenna, RF hardware, product design, and software engineering teams — building deep expertise across wireless technologies (WLAN, BT, UWB, GNSS) and RF systems alongside some of the best engineers in the industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Hands-on working experience with antenna testing, anechoic chambers, and RF test equipment.
• Familiar with wireless performance metrics, such as TRP/TIS, throughput, RSSI, Tx rate, antenna efficiency/gain.
• Solid understanding of RF component characteristics and behavior.
• Solid understanding of at least one wireless technology: IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, GNSS, UWB.
• Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with wireless performance metrics and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in translating complex technical requirements into test cases.
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Validating OTA test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups.
• Translate carrier, regulatory, and industry requirements into actionable test cases, ensuring product validation covers all certification, performance, and compliance criteria.
• Define and execute validation plans for custom software features.
• Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc.
• Plan and execute final certification testing at third-party test labs for PTCRB, CTIA, and CWG testing.
