Wireless Networking Software Engineer, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems

Were looking for a talented and driven software engineer to join our fast-paced, high impact team that is defining the next generation of Peer-to-Peer Wi-Fi technologies. As a Software Engineer on our Peer-to-Peer Wi-Fi team, you will design and build the systems software and APIs that enable direct device-to-device Wi-Fi communication across our entire product lineup. You will work across the full stack, from low-level protocols handling device discovery, channel negotiation, and connection establishment, to the high-level interfaces developers use to build on top of. This role demands someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software, can debug complex multi-layered wireless issues, and wants to work on technology that ships to hundreds of millions of devices worldwide.Design and implement systems software for Peer-to-Peer Wi-Fi protocols Define and implement developer facing APIs for Peer-to-Peer Wi-Fi connectivity across our operating systems Debug and resolve complex issues across our software stack Collaborate with a variety of of teams across Apple to integrate new Wi-Fi Peer-to-Peer capabilities into our product lines Prototype and evaluate emerging wireless technologies ahead of standardization to inform the teams long-term technical roadmapYou have strong experience with C/C++ You're experienced with 802.11 You have experience with IP protocols You have a BS CS/CompE/EE You thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teamsYou're experienced with Swift You enjoy taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives You consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances You handle conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise
