    About Our Team
    This position is part of ***'s Strategic Hardware Engineering team within the Global Innovation Center (GIC). Our team evaluates emerging technologies and helps define how they can be applied across ***'s diverse product portfolio. We investigate advances in wireless connectivity, antenna systems, and networking technologies to understand their impact on future customer experiences.
    We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically curious early-career engineer who is interested in wireless and antenna technologies, including cellular WAN (4G/5G/5G Advanced), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite communications, and other emerging connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys learning new technologies, solving technical problems, and collaborating with global teams to bring innovative concepts from exploration to implementation.
    What You'll Do
    Research emerging wireless and connectivity technologies and assess their relevance to *** products and customer experiences.
    Support evaluations of cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite, and antenna technologies through analysis, testing, and proof-of-concept activities.
    Collaborate with internal engineering teams, technology partners, and ecosystem vendors to understand implementation considerations and industry trends.
    Assist in developing prototypes, demonstrations, and technical recommendations that help transition new technologies into product development.
    Support wireless certification, carrier approval, and regulatory activities as needed.
    Document findings and communicate technical results to engineering and business stakeholders.

    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
    • Strong interest in wireless communications, networking, RF systems, or antenna technologies.
    • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a global environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Exposure through coursework, internships, projects, or research involving wireless technologies, networking, embedded systems, RF engineering, antennas, or IoT devices.
    • Familiarity with one or more wireless technologies such as cellular (4G/5G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite communications, UWB, or other wireless protocols.
    • Experience using engineering tools, scripting languages, or data analysis tools to evaluate technical solutions.
    • Interest in emerging technology trends and innovation.
    • Mandarin or Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required.
