Job Overview
PROLIM is seeking a Wire Harness Technician to support Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL. This role involves manufacturing cable and harness assemblies, interpreting technical documentation, and ensuring high-quality standards in a team-based aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble cable and harness products
- Read and interpret work instructions, schematics, wire lists, and drawings
- Verify material identification and ensure traceability during fabrication and testing
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering and ISO procedures
- Maintain accuracy, completeness, and adherence to shop practices
- Communicate technical issues, inconsistencies, or safety concerns to leadership
- Support lab fabrication and testing processes in a collaborative team environment
Required Skills
- Cable & Harness Assembly
- Wire Crimping, Soldering & Termination
- Reading Electrical Schematics & Wiring Diagrams
- Use of Hand Tools & Assembly Equipment
- Quality Inspection & Attention to Detail
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standards (preferred)
- Ability to follow SOPs and Work Instructions
- Basic Computer Skills (documentation & tracking)
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of related experience or additional education
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of related experience or technical education
- Experience with mechanical assembly and electronics testing
- Familiarity with cable/harness fabrication and evaluation
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
