    Job Title: Windows OS Engineer
    Location: Columbus, OH
    Duration: 06 Months plus
    Rate: DOE

    Job Summary:
    As a Windows OS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based systems and infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT environment. This position requires a deep understanding of Windows operating systems, system automation, and experience with large-scale deployments.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • System Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy Windows-based systems and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
    • System Maintenance and Support: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system stability and security. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows OS.
    • Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline system management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
    • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of Windows servers and related applications.
    • Security Management: Implement and manage security policies and procedures to protect systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance and health.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, developers, and IT support staff, to deliver integrated solutions and support business operations.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the Windows infrastructure and processes.
    Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows system engineering or a similar role.
    • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration and management.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and other automation tools.
    • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
    • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
    • Knowledge of security best practices and tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, intrusion detection).
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are a plus.
    Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
