    Description

    We are seeking a skilled Stator & Armature Winding and Assembly Technician responsible for winding, assembling, and inspecting electric motor stators and armatures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual coil winding, wire handling, motor assembly, and quality inspection.


     


    Key Responsibilities



    • Perform manual winding of stators and armatures according to engineering drawings, specifications, and winding patterns.

    • Install and position copper wire, coils, insulation, sleeves, wedges, and other winding components.

    • Prepare, form, insert, tie, lace, and secure coils as required.

    • Perform armature winding, coil placement, soldering/brazing, and commutator connections.

    • Assemble stator and armature components using hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment.

    • Follow winding schedules, wire sizes, turns, coil dimensions, and connection diagrams accurately.

    • Perform lead preparation, terminal connections, soldering, and insulation as required.

    • Inspect completed windings and assemblies for proper workmanship, alignment, insulation, and connections.

    • Conduct basic electrical and mechanical tests such as continuity, resistance, insulation, and visual inspections.

    • Identify and report defective materials, winding errors, or assembly problems.

    • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

    • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.

    • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe working condition.

    • Assist with troubleshooting and rework of stators and armatures when required.



    Qualifications and Skills



    • Previous experience in stator winding, armature winding, electric motor assembly, or related manufacturing preferred.

    • Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, winding diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.

    • Good understanding of wire sizes, coil turns, insulation materials, and winding techniques.

    • Experience using hand tools, winding fixtures, soldering equipment, and basic measuring instruments.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent workmanship.

    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

    • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred.

    • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and perform repetitive hand operations.

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    • Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends as needed.


    Physical Requirements



    • Ability to lift and move materials and components as required.

    • Must have good dexterity

    • Pulling coils around electric motor

    • Ability to use your hands to tie different size of tape

    • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

    • Ability to work with small wires, coils, insulation materials, and mechanical components.

    • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).


    Preferred Experience


    Experience with AC/DC motors, fractional or integral horsepower motors, generators, transformers, stator coils, armatures, rewinding, motor repair, or electrical component manufacturing is highly desirable.
