Description

1 Resource Group is seeking a dependable Winder Helper to assist with the winding, repair, and assembly of industrial electric motors and related equipment. This is a hands-on position supporting experienced winders and technicians with shop operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced winders with the winding and rewinding of electric motors and related equipment.
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for winding and repair work.
  • Assist with removing and installing coils, wire, insulation, and related components.
  • Measure, cut, and handle wire and other materials according to job requirements.
  • Assist with disassembly, cleaning, assembly, and general shop activities.
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Support technicians and other shop personnel as directed.
  • Perform other duties related to motor repair and shop operations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous industrial, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on industrial shop environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work with your hands for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required.
  • Ability to work around industrial equipment while following all applicable safety procedures.
