Title: Maintenance Technician (Pipefitter)

Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $41.56/hour

Current Schedule: Straight second shift (S/2), straight third shift (S/3), or straight first shift (S/1), depending on internal movements.

Maintenance Technician (Pipefitter) Essential Functions:

• Repair and replace pipes and hydraulic lines, make hydraulic hoses, and install new piping on various equipment.
• Rebuild cylinders and pumps.
• Use a variety of hand tools and powered tools.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.

Maintenance Technician (Pipefitter) Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must meet one of the following requirements:

• Minimum three years of recent related Pipefitter industrial/maintenance experience; OR

• Minimum two years industrial pipefitter-related education at a Vo-Tech Program plus a minimum one year of recent related Pipefitter industrial/maintenance experience.

• Related experience within a Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Welding, and/or Carpentry environment is preferred.

• Experience in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, overhead cranes, and backhoes is preferred.

• Must be willing to go through training programs for other trades such as millwright and welding.

• Position requires climbing ladders, working at heights, and entering confined spaces.

• Flexibility to work other schedules, weekends, and forced overtime.

Location-Specific Requirements:

• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate''''s ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
